Soil electrical conductivity is measured for information relating to earthing turbine towers or other structures and can be undertaken cost effectively over very large areas by initially assessing soil types and focusing on specifically different areas with potential variation. A digital hand held earth tester is used to assess resistance using the four terminal method such that the resistance of the current circuit test leads do not affect the reading.
